Emily was born and raised in a small coastal town in Cornwall, south west England. As a young adult she left Britain to spend a year in Auckland before moving to British Columbia. Vancouver proved to be an excellent base from which to explore some of the spectacular coast, mountains and lakes of BC. Twenty years later she left the city and arrived at Predator Ridge in 2016.
Emily is relatively new to the world of painting. She started in 2017 with a committed group of artists painting under the guidance of Edmonton based artist Gene Prokop. In 2019 she attended a workshop held by renowned Canadian artist Ingrid Christensen.
Working with oils, she strives to create a connection between the natural world and her canvas.
